Thanks to all the students who participated in this year's PTA Reflections Art Contest. The theme this year of "WOW!" inspired a wide array of submissions. Congratulations to the winners, who will be announced at a later date. Thank you to Meg Ostrowski, Karen Lee and Denise Williams-Riseng for coordinating the workshops and contest.

There will not be a PTA meeting in December. If anyone has any comments, suggestions or questions, you are always welcome to contact me. Our next general meeting will be on Tuesday, January 13 at 9:15 a.m. in the Cafeteria. If you are a current PTA member, please remember that membership dues should be paid by now. If you have not yet joined and would like to do so, please contact Peggy Gegg or me.

I would like to say a special thank you to Janet Trentel, for all of her efforts in organizing and chairing our fund raising campaign this year. It was a great success, and we were happy to receive so many positive and encouraging comments.

If you would like to volunteer for any upcoming activities, please contact me. Volunteering your time is a wonderful way to show your children that school is important and a fun place to be.

We are still looking for help with the following committees:
- Winter Carnival (Friday, January 30) chaired by Janet Trentel
- COSI (Tuesday, January 6) chaired by Christina McCallum
- Staff Appreciation Week (May 4-8) chaired by Bobbi Sheehan
- Spring Dance (Friday, May 15) - We are also looking for someone to chair this event.

A letter will be going home after Thanksgiving break with the information and nomination forms for Educator of the Year and the Helping Hand awards.
