About Madison Branch
Madison Branch Library is located at Madison Park in southeastern
Lakewood. It provides a full range of library services to adults and
children.
The Branch opened in 1921. The present structure was designed by the Walker and Weeks architecture firm and built in 1929.
Story Times at Madison Branch
Registration for story times is ongoing throughout the year.

- JUST BABY ‘N ME: For you and your 9 – 24 month old baby. Enjoy books, songs and fingerplays while networking with other parents. Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 9:30 AM.
- TODDLER TREATS: For you and your child age 2 – 3 1/2. Treat your toddler to a story time. Enjoy stories, songs and movements together for 30 fun-filled minutes. Wednesdays at 10:30 AM.
- SHAKE, RATTLE AND ROLL: For you and your child age 2 – 6. Tune in to the magic of music. Enjoy stories that leap off the page with song, dance and rhythm instruments. For added fun, each
child will be given a special “shaker.” Mondays at 10:30 AM; Tuesdays at 10:30 AM, 1:00 PM or 7:00 PM.
Kid Kiosk
Children up to age 6 can play fun and educational computer games designed just for them. Access TUMBLEBOOKS. These animated, talking picture books teach kids the joy of reading in a format they’ll love. TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No reservations needed. Kid Kiosks are available daily until 8:30 p.m.
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Closed for school holidays and vacations.

Monday – Thursday, 3:00 – 5:00 PM
For students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Need help with your homework or just want a cool place to work? Come to the Homework Room for help and resources.

Family Weekend Wonders
Fridays at 10:30 am
Make the library a part of your family weekend time with programs
featuring stories, activities, music and crafts. Our staff will provide
materials and ideas for families wishing to continue reading and
storytelling at home. No registration is necessary.
Weekend with WeeOnes (children 2 years and under)

Spend a part of your family weekend time clapping your hands, tapping your
feet, singing nursery rhymes and, of course, sharing books. We will provide materials
and ideas for families wishing to continue the fun at home. Programs are offered
every weekend throughout the year, and there is no need to register in advance.
